I am a registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a BPS (British Psychological Society) accredited supervisor.
My qualifications are:
Since qualifying as a clinical psychologist, I have chosen to specialise in the use of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for childhood and adolescent mood and anxiety disorders. Engaging with young people in the process of change is something I am passionate about and I feel it is a strength of my therapeutic approach. Alongside private practice, I am also a senior member of staff in a specialist NHS service for children and young people with anxiety or mood disorders, PTSD or OCD.
I have used CBT with clients with a range of presenting difficulties and for more than 10 years. I also have experience of using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). In addition to this, I supervise both CBT therapists and clinical psychologists and have offered training in previous roles.
I especially enjoy working with teenagers and have recently submitted for publication a piece of research on social class and mental health in young men.
