I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and chartered by the British Psychological Society (BPS). I am also fully accredited by the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists (BABCP).
My qualifications are:
I have worked in a range of NHS services throughout my career, both in community and acute hospital settings. I am currently a Clinical Tutor at the Oxford Institute of Clinical Psychology Training and Research.
I use approaches approved by NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) or otherwise supported by a scientific evidence base. My main models of treatment are CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and CFT (Compassion Focused Therapy).
I specialise in the treatment of depression and/or anxiety in the context of long-term physical health problems which cause persistent pain, fatigue and/or disability, supporting individuals to lead full lives despite their physical health conditions.
I also undertake medico-legal reports for court in the field of personal injury and clinical negligence. Additionally, I regularly carry out psychological assessments for suitability for Spinal Cord Stimulator surgery and for suitability for rhinoplasty surgery.
