I am an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist, accredited by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy and abiding by the BACP Code of Ethics.
My qualifications are:
I am a qualified psychotherapist and counsellor with over 10 years’ experience. Alongside my private practice I work for a large public sector organization, having worked in the NHS, the Metropolitan Police and the Maudsley Hospital. I have also taught psychotherapy in Higher Education settings and am a qualified Mindfulness teacher. I have extensive expertise in trauma and can deliver Trauma-Focused therapy both for one-off incidents and longer term, cumulative trauma.
I offer short- and long-term counselling and psychotherapy for individuals, couples and families. I have specialist training in relationship therapy where often the work is sensitive, relating to issues of communication, connection or lack thereof between partners, recurring arguments, intimacy problems, adjusting to life transitions such as parenthood or infertility, financial and work pressures. I guarantee utmost confidentiality and, in my couples work, a genuine commitment to helping clients think about what is best for them both as individuals and as a couple. I also have particular expertise in supporting people around disordered eating and body image issues. I am fluent in French and can offer sessions in this language. I also offer therapy over Skype.
